WordCamp Baltimore (2017) Talk: Building Traffic And Community With WordPress
WordCamp Baltimore is one of my favorite WordCamps. This year, I spoke on setting up a WordPress site and building traffic through integrating social, email and community to reach your intended audience.
After the talk, I was approached at the podium by about a dozen people who had questions about how to integrate these things into their own projects (not shown in the video). I loved seeing their excitement as we discussed the possibilities.
This is what WordCamp (and WordPress) is all about. Giving back to the incredible community they have around their excellent software.
Here’s my talk:
If you’re interested in getting the slides (they’re hard to see in the video), you can download them from the WordCamp Baltimore 2017 website.
On the importance of #Wordpress, “I’m amazed how this free piece of software has really leveled the playing field,” says @coreyweb. #WCBalt
