Jason Heath has done something impressive. Since 2007, he’s produced a podcast devoted to bass – Contrabass Conversations.
I recently had the honor of chatting with Jason for an episode in this long-running series, which has seen more than 1.5 million downloads to date… and counting.
I’m grateful for Jason to include me among such stellar bassists who perform their art for a living. My path has been quite different than most of the guests, and he asked me great questions about the transition I made from music major to the world of web and business, No Treble, my work on Jaco Pastorius related projects, and more.

No Treble connected me with Jody Miller and Marc Stranger years ago, and I’ve had the opportunity to hang out with them during the NAMM Show. These two are a couple of awesome guys, and great for the bass playing community. They invited me to join them for their “Bass Nerds” podcast.
For over 4 decades, I’ve been a huge fan of Geddy Lee. We had the chance to interview Geddy for No Treble’s podcast, then he started following and sharing our posts on social. I’m still geeking out.
