The Entrepreneurial Musician

Long before Andrew Hitz reached out to me asking if I would be a guest on his podcast, I was a subscriber. I’ve enjoyed many episodes, so it was an honor for me to be a part of this.

MusicPreneur

MusicPreneur is a six-month-old podcast, hosted by James Newcomb. James recently asked me to chat with him for episode #66.

WordCamp DC

I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be speaking at the inaugural WordCamp DC next month (July 14-16, 2017). I’ll be sharing my talk, “Building Traffic with Passion, Social Media & Engagement”. This is one I’ve given over the years, and is mostly the story of No Treble and WordPress’s role.

Love the Bass Stickers

Sticker Mule is one of my favorite companies, in large part because I’m a huge sticker nerd. They interviewed me for this case study on how No Treble used stickers to generate buzz online.

Seth Godin and Janek Gwizdala

No surprise, this is a great conversation between two guys who know their stuff. Take a listen…

Contrabass Conversations

Jason Heath has done something impressive. Since 2007, he’s produced a podcast devoted to bass – Contrabass Conversations. I recently had the honor of chatting with Jason for an episode in this long-running series, which has seen more than 1.5 million downloads to date… and counting.

Rolling Stone article on David Crosby and Michael League (featured image)

We’ve been long-time fans of bassist Michael League and his band Snarky Puppy at No Treble HQ. Yesterday, I stumbled upon a Rolling Stone feature on David Crosby. We already knew Michael produced it, but I was shocked to see that No Treble was part of the story – and connection.

It’s funny how a major event can make you exhale, especially when you didn’t even realize you were holding your breath. When we announced Hubpages acquired Squidoo back in August, that’s exactly what I did. Thanks to Seth Godin, I met Mitch Joel, and the No Treble podcast was born.

Podcasts Icon

We just launched a podcast on No Treble. This is new territory for me, so when I went to set it up in iTunes, I started Googling. And then my brain almost exploded. After some time, I figured out how to add a Podcast to iTunes. Here’s my how-to.

Squidoo began for me the day I met Seth Godin – Father’s Day, 2005 to be exact. By the end of the summer, Seth asked me to join and said “Let’s give it three months and see how it goes.” 105 months later, Squidoo is being acquired by Hubpages.

Wisconsin Public Radio - Central Time

I did an interview with Central Time on Wisconsin Public Radio on July 30th. The segment’s title was “Great Bass Lines And The Science That Makes Us Love Them” and kicked off with Laurel Trainor, a professor of psychology, neuroscience and behaviour at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.

Corbinizer: Coreyweb edition

I’m a GTD/to-do list nut. When Aaron showed my Brandon Corbin’s paper-based “Corbinizer”, I was intrigued. After trying it out, I made a few of my own mods to it. You can check out both versions here.
